Ranks and Grades
 
The rank and grade system that operates in gliding schools may at first sight seem a little confusing. These pages have been written to try and explain the difference between the two.

Rank effectively refers to the title that a person holds while grade is a reflection of the flying experience a person has. Thus, as the gliding school is a flying unit, grade may often be more important than rank. To find out more follow the links below
